Our “Club Fit” fitness program is suitable for all levels of ability, regardless of  shape, size, and fitness level.   Volunteer fitness instructors rotate weekly to keep the workouts fresh and fun.  Classes are set to music where inclusive sets of activities get everyone moving at their own pace and enjoying themselves, while creating strong and healthy joints and muscles.

Classes include a warm up, 25-30 minutes of cardiovascular routines, a cool down, strength training, floor work and stretching. Both high and low impact options are  demonstrated.   Instructors may also incorporate stationary bikes, bocce balls, power balls, and other equipment into their routines to keep it interesting and fun.


“Club Fit” fitness classes run September  thru March on Monday evenings from 6:30 – 7:30 with the exception of statutory holidays.

Waiver Form

All registered athletes participating in the fitness program must sign a TELUS Fitness Release, Waiver and Assumption of Risk form.  There are two forms, one for Adults, and one for Minors. The forms can be found from the main page of website using the “Forms” link.


TELUS donates time in their fitness facilities at the Brian Canfield Centre for Excellence in Telecommunications, at 3777 Kingsway, Burnaby.

Parking and Building Access

Free parking is available in the TELUS building parkade.   The parkade is accessible from:

  • Boundary Road – drive past small tower, 1st parking garage door on right
  • Kingsway – 2nd parking garage door on left

Ring the intercom and tell Security you are with Special Olympics.   Once parked, take the elevator to the 5th floor.

If you arrive by bus or on foot, please use the main entrance on Kingsway.

However you arrive, you will be signed in at the security desk by a program volunteer and escorted down to the gym.

Please plan on arriving 15 minutes prior to class time.
